Go to
- File,
- New
- Model should be Mobile CS800 400-470 Flash Type 8M
- Click OK
- Yes to create a new File.
Now that you have a new file created you'll need to look at a few sections to create your simplex channel - Open DMR Services and double click Contact
- The contact name will be Simplex, Call Type is Group Call, Call ID is 99 and Receive Tone No
- Expand RX Group List
- Double Click on RX Group 1
- Make sure you Add Simplex from the Available Column to Members and rename the RX Group List Alias at the Bottom to Simplex
- Expand Digital Channel
- Double click on DCH 1
Here's where all your previous work gets used. - Change the Channel Alias to whatever you want to call your channel.
In my list I have 3 channels for Simplex. 441.000 , 446.075, 446.500. For this example lets just use 441.000. - My Channel Alias is called Simp 441.0
- Digital ID ( Set this to your DMR ID that was given to you when you registered. ) More on this in the bottom of the instrucitons. **
- Color Code is 1
- Repeater/Time Slot is Slot 1
- Receive Frequency is 441.000
- Offset is 0.000000
- Transmit is 441.000
- RX Group List Simplex
- TX Contact Simplex
- Set your desired Power Level
- TX Admit I set mine to Always.
- Tx Time-Out Times(s) 120
- Expand Zone
- Double Click on Static
- Make sure your Simplex channels are added to the right. ( in the default case you'll have ACH 1 and whatever other channel you have programmed. ACH can be removed as it's the default analog channel. )
- Rename the Zone Alias at the bottom of the page to Simplex DMR ( Again this is subjective. You can call it whatever you like. )
- Program your radio an enjoy.
** Some other things to note. Unlike the other Radios you can select multiple ID's for this specific radio when transmitting. You can either have the whole radio act as one ID ( Preferred method for most users) or you can have each channel have it's own ID. In my case I have a few DMR networks both commercial and ham so this allows me the flexibility of using one radio for multiple networks.
To ensure your radio is properly transmitting it's ID do the following.
- Expand General Settings
- Double Click on Settings
- Unique Radio ID ON
- Radio ID ( Program this to your DMR ID given when you registered your radio online up )
I have uploaded my sample to the Codeplugs section of this group. It's called Simplex DMR.rdb
This may not be how everyone would program it but it's how I did mine.

Note ::
May I suggest that you skip the part about adding an RX Group with just the Simplex TG in it? There is no need to use an RX group when you only wish to monitor one TG.
The radio will always receive the TG assigned to the contact listed on the TX side. RX Groups are only needed if you wish to monitor more than one TG.
