Well, I inserted the DB15 cable and it's working well. What is the "other programming cable that appears to plug into the microphone jack?
Question
A friend of mine just got his CS800. In the box is a USB to RJ45 cable. He also has the programming cable which is USB to DS9. So what the heck is the other USB cable to be used for?
Answer
There is a micro in the head that might some day have to be reprogrammed either to add features or to fix a problem. While it is not very likely to happen, I decided if it did I did not want to get thousands of calls from customers asking to buy that cable so they can update to the latest firmware.
We decided to give that cable away for free when you buy the other cable with a new radio. However if you loose either cable, the cost is $15 each if you want a new cable.
A programming cable for the microprocessor in the head.
