CS800 front panel removable

I just received a new CS800. I have two questions.

1. Is the front panel removable? If so, how? I see a latch on the side of the CS800, but can’t seem to make this work to release the front panel.

2. Is there a slot behind the front panel to plug in an SD card, or is the SD memory fixed and built into the CS800?

ANSWER:::
No slot for SD card....

The latch you see on the side of the front panel is the key....
Front panel slides off to other side... it was new and takes a little effort, but comes off cleanly....

When you slide the front panel off, watch out for the short cable. You will have to unplug it as you remove the head.

The piece the front panel slides into, will come off of the radio with 4 screws, I mounted it on the dash, then slid the head back into it's slots. Made a slick installation.

I used shielded cat 5 and have had no problems.

Use standard CAT 5 cable to remote front panel to radio....
Use a shielded CAT 5 cable. Otherwise you'll get TDMA choppy noises on TX.
